Welcome to my Corner of the World

Welcome to the Funky Folds Hop ~ a community for like minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds and to share our ideas. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way” so hang onto your hats and see what the talented artisans have to offer 🙂
We don’t have a specific theme ” anything goes” it is all about the fold!! I chose a simple ‘rocker’ card and decorated it for a teen grand-daughter!
The finished card size is 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 so will perfectly in a 7 x 5 envelope. You can make a smaller size by choosing to use smaller dies and simply follow the method in the video
- Base Card: 1 sheet Summer Sun Card ~ cut in 1/2 and run thru cutting machine with your selected die
- Layer 1: 1/2 sheet of White Card ~ cut out a full layer using selected die and then another with same die but trim down to go inside card to write your ‘to you, love from me” message
- Layer 2: 1/4 sheet Petunia Pop Card~ cut with smaller die
- Layer 3: 4 x 3 decorative paper ~ cut with smaller die
- Ink Color: Summer Splash
Layers 1 & 2 were glued together then run thru embossing machine with Distressed Tile Embossing Folder
Check out the video to see how everything goes together:

The wonderful thing about a blog hop is that you get to see projects made by a host of talented papercrafters ~ so go ahead and hit the ‘NEXT’ button below and see what Tammy has to share 🙂
I love what I do and spend many hours working on designs, new projects, new ideas and much more. Don’t forget to be a subscriber on the blog by clicking the blue follow button on the top right and my You Tube Channel so that you get all the projects.
Please note that I am not endorsing any particular products nor am I being compensated for using them. I am sharing an idea and hope that you will be able to use products from your own stash to create a similar card 🙂 I love to make use of all the supplies I’ve collected, regardless of age! I apologize if it gets frustrating when some are retired, but I have found that many of these, or very similiar items, can be acquired on the used market. I’ve tried to give the info I have on each product so you can go looking if you like…happy hunting!
