‘Christmas in July’ ~ Traditional Card Idea

Welcome to my Corner of the World

As I share in my video creating Christmas-themed cards in July is not something I can recall doing before, however I thought I would do something this year, despite us being in the middle of a heatwave here in the UK. I am planning to do a short series of 3 cards, today I have chosen traditional colors and theme, I will then do a more contemporary one and will end up with a whimsical one toward the end of the month. I hope you enjoy this one as I am very fond of using the more traditional colours of red, green and white with a little hint of gold!!

Cute Card for Little Boy ~ Using Minimum Supplies

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Today I am sharing a card using the simple supplies of Stamps, Ink & Paper. It is an idea that you can use to create a card for practically any occasion. The card is for the small son of a neighbour, who is celebrating his 2nd birthday this weekend. I love how it turned out and I think it will be a card creating technique I might just use again.

Each time I post a project on this blog and my You Tube channel I think of it as a ‘class’ sharing ideas & techniques that you can follow, sometimes they are simple and straightforward with the minimum of supplies (like today) sometimes, they are a bit more fancy with special folds or fancy techniques using more supplies. Either way I hope you enjoy them 🙂

Mixed Media Magic From Your Paper Scraps

Welcome to my Corner of the World

It is a while since I shared an Artist Trading Card, these are little works of art just measuring 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches, that is the only rule and you can use just about anything on that little space. I have a little box on my workbench that I put in odd bits and pieces left over from various projects, I use these in my trading cards. Today’s video shows me working thru some scraps to create a dramatic mixed media piece.
