As I explain in my video, I made this card for my aunt in Australia, who I was able to spend Easter with in April. It was the first time we had been together since 2001.

Continue readingI do love techniques, today I am sharing the Floating Strip Technique. This is one of the techniques I shared with my monthly class at the end of March, although most the products I used have now retired 😦 – the technique will work for any papers, stamps and dies that you have in your stash!

Continue readingI don’t usually make big cards, partly because of the extra postage we have to pay here in the US. So I have always stuck to making them with 1/2 sheet of 11 x 8 1/2 card with the finished card size of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Then I received a card from a friend – it was bigger than 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 but still had the regular first class stamp. So I did a little research and found that I could send a max size of 7 x 5 for the same first class stamp – so today’s card is just that size!!

Continue readingAs I explain in my video, when I saw the name of this stamp set bundle I just knew I had to have it! Once it was in my hands though I had to put my thinking cap on to work out the best way to use it to line up all the curves! So in the video I share my hints and tips to get the perfect line up, I hope you enjoy it 🙂
Continue readingThere are different ways to use our inks, stamping images and greetings is one way, but there is also using masks (stencils) along with Blending Brushes to create a very soft image. I have gone to my favorite Go To Greetings Stamp Set for my message and chosen to use the thank you stamp however you could choose one of the other greetings to create a birthday, thinking of you or just a note ~ the card design will work for all of them.
Continue readingThe side step fun fold card is a lot of fun to do, but there is a lot of measuring and cutting the base card to create the different levels. Today’s card with a video tutorial shows how to get the same effect by scoring and attaching different panels. I have chosen to feature the Sentimental Park Bundle and share how to color Pearl Basic Jewels to match your color scheme.
Continue readingI don’t think to use white ink at all, so when I was seeking inspiration for a color combo for my recent card buffet my eye fell on the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad which I paired up with Night of Navy and the Uniquely Artistic Stamp Set – I just loved the sort of monochrome ‘smoky’ effect it gave especially with the outline stamps in the set.
