Shadow Box Card

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
For the August Card Crafting Class I made a shadow box card using ‘By the Tide’ stamp set in blues and other masculine colors (see post from August 16th). I decided to work on a feminine version using the stamp sets Feels Good, Flower Shop and Express Yourself. The card stock is Melon Mambo and Very Vanilla and the inks included Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive.  The fold was courtesy of Connie Stewart and the cutout in the middle was done using the 2 1/2 circle punch and the flowers used the new Pansy Punch. I am thrilled with the result and will send it to my sister-in-law (in the UK) for her birthday later this month.
All the products I used are from Stampin’ Up and are available from my on-line store. Let me know if you would like some instructions – I will be happy to send them if you comment on this post and follow my blog 🙂

Card using Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet

This is one of the cards from September’s Holiday Card Stamp Camp. It features the stamp set ‘lovely as a tree’, card stock is midnight muse and soft sky. The tree image was covered with the multipurpose adhesive sheet then dazzling diamonds glitter poured over the sticky surface. It gives a nice even coating of ‘bling’ and once stuck down ~ is going no where!

My friend, Joanne, gave me 6 of these little books, with the comment “I am sure you can do something with these” So I put on my thinking cap and pulled out some card stock, decorative paper (DSP) a few lengths of ribbon, glue and glitter and now I have some pretty little notebooks to give as gifts. Thanks for the inspiration, Joanne.
