Family Love Garden Lane Sampler

Welcome back to my corner of the world

I love practically any type of papercrafting but I think my most ‘favoritest’  are samplers or  frameart, you can put lots of different items and techniques onto them without them appearing ‘over the top’

The sampler I am sharing today is one of the projects from my annual Stampin Getaway last October and features the serene Garden Lane DSP along with a whole host of punches, dies, ribbons and embellishments.

Pressed Petals Washi Tape Birthday

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Today would have been my Mum’s 88th birthday so this  card is for her.  No stampin’ – I just used  my die cutting machine, a couple of die sets and an embossing folder.

The focal point  is made with the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape, there are two rolls in this pack, one a traditional tape in Soft Suede and Very Vanilla, the second has about 100 individual peel-and-stick flower petals allowing you to create beautiful flowers.

Tone-on-Tone Technique with Tasteful Textures

I am sharing another technique today – Tone-on-Tone stamping along with a video to show you how easy it is to do!

I first came across the term ‘tone-on-tone ‘ when I  came to live in  the US some 18 years ago.  Due to visa restrictions I was not allowed to work ~ I had to find something to do with my time – so I found myself a quilting class,  the list of supplies included some fabric called ‘tone on tone neutral’, which meant nothing to me at the time, until the really kind lady in the fabric stop helped me out 🙂

I am using one of the new stamp sets from the 2019 -2020 Stampin’ UP! catalog, Tasteful Textures, as well as showcasing a couple of the new ribbons and embellishments which were in my recent ribbon and embellishment product share ~ click here for details

Royal Peacock – Inspirational Card

The choice of colors for today’s card was one of those happy accidents – inspired by the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots (pg 177 of Annual catalog) which fell out of the little box I had stored them in – the Lovely Lipstick ones in particular attracted me, although, to be honest they look more like Melon Mambo to me and that is the color I chose to pair with one of the new in-colors, Pretty Peacock which is just perfect for the stamp set I chose!

The Royal Peacock Stamp set has been so very popular and I am sure I will be sharing more cards with it but today it is the stamp that puts highlights on the peacocks tail that is the focus of my card, along with some gold heat embossing.
