Pressed Petals Washi Tape Birthday

Hello Paper Crafting Friends ~ welcome back to my corner of the world.

Today would have been my Mum’s 88th birthday so this  card is for her.  No stampin’ – I just used  my die cutting machine, a couple of die sets and an embossing folder.

The focal point  is made with the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape, there are two rolls in this pack, one a traditional tape in Soft Suede and Very Vanilla, the second has about 100 individual peel-and-stick flower petals allowing you to create beautiful flowers.

Card base:  11 x 4 1/4 Thick Very Vanilla Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1:  5 1/4 x 4 Very Vanilla Card

Scraps of Merry Merlot  and Mossy Meadow card for embellishments

I started by putting a length of the ‘brown’ washi tape across layer 1 before running it thru the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder – this is then attached to the base card with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals.

The background piece for my flower is from the Petal Labels Die – again this is popped up on a couple of Stampin Dimensionals.

I used 8 of the petals from the washi tape to create my flower ~ 5 on the bottom layer and 3 on the top layer before adding some Pearl Basic Jewels for the center.  The leaves are cut with the Leaf Punch from Mossy Meadow card, I squeezed the leaves together a little to give them some ‘life’ before adding them to the back of the flower with a couple of Mini Glue Dots.

The greeting is cut from Merry Merlot card with the Well Written Dies, attached with tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
