I am sharing another technique today – Tone-on-Tone stamping along with a video to show you how easy it is to do!
I first came across the term ‘tone-on-tone ‘ when I came to live in the US some 18 years ago. Due to visa restrictions I was not allowed to work ~ I had to find something to do with my time – so I found myself a quilting class, the list of supplies included some fabric called ‘tone on tone neutral’, which meant nothing to me at the time, until the really kind lady in the fabric stop helped me out 🙂
I am using one of the new stamp sets from the 2019 -2020 Stampin’ UP! catalog, Tasteful Textures, as well as showcasing a couple of the new ribbons and embellishments which were in my recent ribbon and embellishment product share ~ click here for details
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Thick Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Mint Macaron Card
Ink Color: Gorgeous Grape, Mint Macaron and Versamark
Scrap of Gorgeous Grape & Whisper White Card for greeting which was cut with the Petal Labels Dies.
As I say in the video, you can do this technique with the same ink color as your card but if you don’t have the same ink color you can use Versamark which is a clear ink and darkens the card.
This is the second technique I have shared recently – they are sort of some of the ‘basics’ of stamping, for my first one – click here
