Time for some Halloween Inspiration!

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Halloween is just around the corner so time to rustle up some cards to send to friends and family. I am not really into the more macabre side of Halloween, I like the cuteness of carved pumpkins and maybe a witch or two. The Pick of the Patch Stamp Set with the coordinating Pick of the Patch Builder Punch is just perfect for the type of card I want to send.

Cheerful Daisies ~ Book Fold Wedding Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Earlier this month a very dear friend for over 30 years got married, perfect occasion to create a really special and luxurious card made with great care and much love.

While we don’t always have the occasion to make and send a wedding card the same style and supplies can be used to make a birthday or inspirational card, my video today shares an alternate version, by simply changing out the greeting.

Around the Bend 7 x 5 Inspirational Card with Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I don’t usually make big cards, partly because of the extra postage we have to pay here in the US. So I have always stuck to making them with 1/2 sheet of 11 x 8 1/2 card with the finished card size of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. Then I received a card from a friend – it was bigger than 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 but still had the regular first class stamp. So I did a little research and found that I could send a max size of 7 x 5 for the same first class stamp – so today’s card is just that size!!

Tropical Leaf Gatefold Any Occasion Card

Welcome to my Corner of the World

So I am a little behind with posting these cards as some of the papers retired at the beginning of this month, however the gatefold fancy fold is great fun and you can choose any of the decorative papers in your stash, pick out one or two colors and recreate this card, I just love that Tropical Leaf Stamp Set!………. oh and did I mention there is a video to go along with it?

Blending Brushes and Masks Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

There are different ways to use our inks, stamping images and greetings is one way, but there is also using masks (stencils) along with Blending Brushes to create a very soft image. I have gone to my favorite Go To Greetings Stamp Set for my message and chosen to use the thank you stamp however you could choose one of the other greetings to create a birthday, thinking of you or just a note ~ the card design will work for all of them.

Uniquely Artistic ~ Using White Ink Video Tutorial

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I don’t think to use white ink at all, so when I was seeking inspiration for a color combo for my recent card buffet my eye fell on the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad which I paired up with Night of Navy and the Uniquely Artistic Stamp Set – I just loved the sort of monochrome ‘smoky’ effect it gave especially with the outline stamps in the set.

Scrapbook Inspired Card with Reflection Technique.

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Each month I take part in a Scrapbook hop,  I recognize not everyone is into scrapbooking so I try to take some elements from my layout to create a card to show how Stampin’ UP! products can be used for both card making and scrapbook pages. Check out the original scrapbook page

I chose to use the Easter Bunny Stamp set with coordinating punch and the Rain or Shine Decorative Paper for this simple gatefold card and have a video to show how it comes together and how I used my Stamparatus for the reflection technique!

Petal Park Meets Celebrating You for a Pretty Card for any occasion!

Welcome to my Corner of the World

I have a ‘go to’ layout I like to use occasionally, particularly when I have a little creative block ~ I find once I have my basic pieces cut the rest will flow from that.

Today’s card uses that layout and you will probably recognize it from previous posts. I have combined the Petal Park Stamp Set with the coordinating punch with the Celebrating You Stamp set for my greeting along with one of my favorite subtle color combinations to show the same layout for an anniversary card and one for Easter, there is also a video tutorial to follow along with 🙂
