I needed cards for three different occasions, “Happy Birthday’, ‘Happy Anniversary’ and ‘Congratulations’ for a new grandchild.  I decided the same design would work but using different colors and to change the layout of the ‘card candy’ (a new term I just learned, meaning embellishment!) The stamp set was Stampin Up’s Creative Elements ( and we just heard today this set is being retired and is now only available while stocks last!) see the bottom of this post for a great ‘free shipping’ offer 🙂

I chose Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe with Whisper White card for the layer.  The card candy is based on an idea from Pootles UK and used the large oval punch layers on top of the Scalloped Oval at a catty corner kind of angle.  The four petal punch from the Itty Bitty Punch pack (also announced today is retiring and only available while stocks last) was used for the little flowers which were sponged in the same color ink as the card stock, attached with a little all purpose glue then a tiny dot of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details in the center of each.

A strip of the Ruffle Stretch Trim along the bottom of the Whisper White layer completed the card perfectly.
