Flower Shop and Blendability Love Notes

Last Saturday we celebrated World Card Making Day and I hosted an Open House for my lovely customers.  One of the projects was a 3 x 3 love note decorated with a flower colored using Stampin’ Up!’s Blendability Pens.  Throughout the day I was demonstrating how to use them and each time I used a different color set to see the effect.  By the end of the day I had a wonderful rainbow of flowers.  Those who know me also know that I am not good about wasting things,  so here is how I used them……………..

Each of the flowers was mounted onto a 3 x 3 card in Crumb Cake (cut at 6 x 3, scored and folded at 3″) The front was embossed with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.

Each flower was produced by stamping one  of the flower images from the Flower Shop Stamp set and the Petite Petals Stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White card, then colored and punched with the appropriate punch:

The Blendabilities colors from left to right:

  • Calypso Coral
  • Wisteria Wonder
  • Night of Navy
  • Daffodil Delight
  • Coastal Cabana
  • Melon Mambo

Each was decorated with some Venetian Lace or Very Vanilla seam binding, then a small 3 x 3 envelope added to complete the set. Of course you could do all the flowers in the same color and I probably would have done just that if I had planned my project, but I am very happy that I just ‘went with the flow’ and experimented with some of the Blendability colors.

The little presentation box in the background was made following instructions from Pootles (a UK demonstrator) which fitted my 6 love notes exactly.  So I now have a great gift ready for that unexpected occasion.
