Seasonally Scattered ~ hand-made cards

This was one of the cards from my October card class earlier this week.  I used a tri-color technique for the image and then sprinked it with clear embossing powder before applying the heat tool.  It gave the image a very subtle shine.

October 2

The card base is 11 x 51/2 in Crushed Curry card, scored and folded at 5 1/2, embossed with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder.

The image is from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  onto Very Vanilla and layered onto Cajan Craze card. The ink colors were Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajan Craze.

This stamp set contains 2 other stamps, ‘Merry’ and ‘Love’ ~ I just had to have a play with those as well……

Embossed 2

This version uses Coastal Cabana as the base with Bermuda Bay and Whisper White layers, again it was embossed with clear embossing powder.

And finally the ‘Love’ Stamp, the base card is Pink Piroutte with Real Red and Whisper White, on this version I used ‘ Iridecent Ice’ Embossing powder which gave a nice glittery finish (although it doesn’t really show too well here)

Since I wasn’t able to attend the Oct. 28 class, please let me know how to get the tri-color effect on the “Thanks” stamp.

Also, what are your hours Oct. 14 and 15 for Christmas Card Stamp Camps? I already have obligations those days, but may be able to fit something in.
