This is the fourth card in my mini series using the Sassy Salutations stamp set, which has 6 different greetings in a really zany font. This time using the ‘Thinking of You’ stamp and has a more vintage feel in neutral shades of Crumb Cake and Early Expresso.
Card Base : 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Crumb Cake ~ scored @ 4 1/4. and embossed using the Boho Chic embossing folder
Layer 1: 4 1/4 x 3 Whisper White, edges sponged with Crumb Cake.
Early Expresso ink was used for the greeting.
The flower was made by running a piece of Whisper White thru the Boho Chic embossing folder and Big Shot, then cutting one with the Flower Medallion punch and a second with the Pansy punch. The center used the Petite Petals punch with a little scrap of Crumb Cake card. Each piece was then sponged with Crumb Cake ink, before being layered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals and one of the new Metal Rimmed Pearl embellishments added to the center.
I always keep the scraps ~ just never know when they will come in handy, it would break my heart to cut into a whole sheet of card for one little flower!!!
Early Expresso seam binding was attached to Whisper White layer which was then attached to base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flower was then attached with another couple of dimensionals.
Looking at the card again I wish I had sponged the edges of the base card with Crumb Cake ink just to complete the vintage feel, but I am pretty happy with the result.
