This is the fifth card in my mini series using the Sassy Salutations stamp set, which has 6 different greetings in a really zany font.
This time using the ‘Feel Better’ stamp and two versions, one for the girls and one for the guys (we all know that the guys get a lot sicker than the girls so should need a card as well!)
Here is the one for the girls…. really bright and vibrant Melon Mambo!
Card Base : 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Melon Mambo ~ scored @ 4 1/4.
Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 ~ Very Vanilla, run thru the Big Shot with the Hexagon Hive Thinlet Die. I always use a piece of wax paper between the die and card stock as it makes it a lot easier to remove the card without damaging those thin pieces!
Melon Mambo ink was used for the greeting.
I used tiny dots of liquid multipurpose glue to attach the die cut piece to the base card. The flowers were cut using the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack, from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and Melon Mambo card and attached with glue dots, with pearls added…… oh and a little bow made from 1/4 cotton ribbon.
The greeting used the 1 1/2 ” circle punch (newly introduced), layered onto Melon Mambo cut with the 1 3/4″ Scalloped Circle punch then finally layered onto Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper cut with 2″ circle punch. All were layered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
So here is the guy version, little more subdued and ‘manly’:
The base card is 11 x 4 1/4, Island Indigo, scored @ 5 1/2
The layer is Whisper White and I used Silver Glimmer Paper for the stars (also from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack)
The greeting was cut with the same 1 1/2″ circle punch then layered onto Island Indigo cut with the Extra Large Oval punch and Decorative Label punch for the silver glimmer paper. I resisted the temptation to put a bow in this one!!!!
