Happy Mother’s Day

Here we are just a few short days from Mother’s Day here in the US.  I made todays’ card with  Mothers Day in mind but it does not actually have any specific mention of Mothers Day – so it would be perfect for a birthday card as well!

The finished card size is 4 x 4″ so will fit in a regular envelope – however it is quite thick due to several layers so  it would need additional stamps for posting!

The stamp set is ‘A Nice Cuppa’ and I used the co-ordinating Cups and Kettle Framelit Dies to cut out the teapot and that twiddly little embellishment on the front there! (Both of these products retire on May 31st – you might want to put in your order asap to avoid disappointment!)

Card Base:  8 1/2 x  81/2 Wisteria Wonder card~ scored @ 4 1/4 on each side

Layer 1:  3 3/4 x 3 3/4 Perfect Plum.

A teatime doily and silver metallic doily stacked on top of each other then the teapot cut in Wisteria Wonder card then run thru the Big Shot with the elegant dots embossing folder.

Silver Sparkle Dazzling Diamonds was used for the flower centers and the little ‘lemon slice’ embellishment is attached with a mini glue dot.

Inside the card……………  uses just about every stamp in the ‘A Nice Cuppa’ set, with Wisteria Wonder and Mint Macaron ink.

The vertical sides use  3 3/4 x 3 3/4 Mint Macaron panels layered with 3 1/2 x  1/2 Whisper White card

The base has 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 Perfect Plum layered with 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 Whisper White.
