I wanted to make a batch of birthday cards that would be great for children but not fall back on the usual pinks and blues, running thru all the lovely colors in the Stampin” Up! palette, I settled on Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight; and nothing is more birthday than balloons!
Card Base: 11 x 4 1/4 thick Whisper White card ~ scored at 5 1/2
Layer 1 : 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip and Sift Sky for the balloon strings, then attached to card with stampin dimensionals.
The Pear Pizzazz balloons are stamped directly onto layer 1. Daffodil Delight was used to stamp onto a scrap of Daffodil Delight card then cut out with the Balloon Bouquet punch.
You want to check out the Balloon Celebration stamp set – it has lots of balloon images with clouds and strings for building up a scene but also has lots of greetings – ‘Happy Birthday’, Congratulations as well as ‘champagne’, ‘coffee’, ‘tea’, ‘hot chocolate’, ‘eat cake’, ‘eat cookies’. Just love this range of unusual words that would make a perfect greeting.
