One of the ladies in my Stampin’ UP! team promoted to Bronze Elite during June, this is a wonderful achievement for her and carries benefits which includes 25% discount on everything she buys from Stampin’ Up!
I could not let this go by without a card for her, she loves butterflies and Daffodil Delight – and that is what she got on her card.
Card Base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Daffodil Delight Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1 : 5 1/4 x 4 Crushed Curry
Layer 2: 3 3/4 x 5 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Daffodil Delight and Versamark
The stamp set is Watercolor Wings which is a 3 step stamp set – the main body of the butterfly was stamped in Daffodil Delight which was ‘stamped- off’ onto some scrap paper then onto the white card without re-inking. The second stamp used Daffodil Delight full strength and the third stamp used Versamark then sprinkled with the new Copper embossing powder before using the heat tool to set it.
A small butterfly was cut from vellum card using the Bold Butterfly Framelits
The ‘Congrats’ is from the Happy Happenings stamp set also embossed in copper. (another set you want to check out – it has greetings for all occasions) The ribbon was recently retired but I had a little left over in my stash and the card was just begging for the ribbon.
I hope you like today’s card – please let me know in a comment by clicking the link at just underneath the title of this post – thank you for taking the time to do this.
