Today’s post uses one of the bundles from the Occasions Catalog which will be retiring on May 31st – so there is still time to get it!
It was a really overcast and dull day and I had it was one of my rare days off from the tax office. I needed some brightness and sparkle in my day so headed straight for the glimmer paper – you might need some sunglasses for these ones as they have a lot of sparkliness! (its a word…. honest!)
Each Card follows the same recipe
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 ~ scored @ 4 1/4,
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Glimmer Paper
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 ~ the Stylish Stems framelits dies were used to cut into this layer. I found it easier to cut each shape out separately – it meant running the card thru the Big Shot 3 times but when I tried to do all 3 at once there was a little movement ~ even with the magnetic platform.
I used about 8 or 9 glue dots to attach layer 2 to the glimmer paper as it needs a good strong glue to bond it and then Fast Fuse to attach the glimmer paper to the card base.
Each card has a 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White card layer for writing my message and I used the coordinating stamp set ~ Special Reasons for the flower and the greeting inside.
I love the richness of this combination.
This is such a fresh combination, I used Very Vanilla for the top layer.
And finally……………..
There are so many combinations you could work thru – Early Expresso with Gold Glimmer Paper comes to mind and I have not even started with the Gold, Silver or Copper Foil!
I hope you like today’s project – please let me know in a comment ~ by using that little link just under the title.

Well Damn!!! I love the blue card on this post but I’m not very proficient at figuring out how to order the Stylish Stems. Is this $20??? Can you order it for me so that you get the credit? Or give me instructions???
Hugs,
Toni
