Yesterday was my sister’s birthday – she, like the rest of our family live in the UK and I know she will have had a beautiful day surrounded by her Mum, Children and Grand-children (yep – its hard to think of your baby sister as a grandma!)
I made a very simple card, just a few layers, a couple of little flowers and a flourish of silver thread to compliment the rhinestones.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Daffodil Delight Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4,
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card
Layer 2: 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 Daffodil Delight Card
Layer 3: 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Daffodil Delight and Early Expresso for sentiment which is from the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set.
The little flowers are cut using the Tree Builder punch, there several little shapes in that punch that can be used as accents, including a little bird. This is not one I would use for my sister~ who hates birds ever since a a neighbors daughter chased her with a dead crow when she was a little girl!
