The inspiration for this card came from Pinterest – and shame on me I did not make a note of the creative soul who made it…………… nor could I find it again!
I am very cautious with Pinterest – yes – it is full of such beautiful ideas and a huge source of inspiration but you can get lost in it and before you know what happened several hours have passed and not a lot to show for it! (just don’t ask me how I know!) So I ration myself and on one of the occasions I did dip in I found this idea – and I just love it.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Pool Party Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/8 x 3 3/8 Island Indigo Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Old Olive, Island Indigo, Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach.
My stamp set is Beautiful Bouquet ~ 37 individual stamps that allows you to build a bouquet of flowers and has a bunch of greeting for different occasions. I stamped the stem/leaves first then the largest flowers, next smallest then finally the smallest flowers to fill in any gaps. Because the stamp set is photopolymer it is very easy to line up and position each stamp precisely where you want it.
Pearls in the middle of the big flowers and the card is good to go! So fresh and clean-looking!
