Today I am sharing a card inspired by the Creating Pretty Cards sketch from Craft Project Central.  I am always looking for ideas for my card projects and have found Craft Project Central to be a very good source of inspiration.

So the story behind today’s card is very simple – I needed a birthday card for a dear friend and a thank you card for another.  One friend just loves black and white, so there was a good starting point, I had also just received the new leaf punch from Stampin’ UP!’s Holiday Catalog and was looking for ANY excuse to use it ! Beautiful Bouquet ~ Thanks a Bunch

The inspiration for this card came from Pinterest – and shame on me I did not make a note of the creative soul who made it…………… nor could I find it again!

I am very cautious with Pinterest – yes – it is full of such beautiful ideas and a huge source of inspiration but you can get lost in it and before you know what happened several hours have passed and not a lot to show for it! (just don’t ask me how I know!)  So I ration myself and on one of the occasions I did dip in I found this idea – and I just love it. Continue reading

Beautiful Bouquet meets Petal Garden Card ~ Stampin’ UP!

Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack  is my particular favorite at the moment.  It has colors mixed together, that on the face of it, you would not normally put together ~ Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Sweet Sugarplum, Pool Party and Old Olive – all of them beautiful colors on their own but when combined in this paper, it is just stunning.

I am currently hosting a DSP share and one of my ladies looked at the papers in this stack and asked what she could do with the ones that just had  pattern in the corner, so I did a little research and came up with an idea for her. Continue reading
