Delightful Daisy Floating Image Card

One of my Yorkie’s is called Daisy – it is such a lovely light and fresh name, and because she is a Southern Belle she is formally known as ‘Miss Daisy’.  If she had not have been Daisy she would have been Poppy, again because it is a bright and happy name ~ and I just love flowers!

When the Delightful Daisy Suite became available as a pre-order for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators it was at the top of my list particularly the Designer Series Paper which I am featuring today, along with the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set and a brief appearance by one of my favorite sets ‘ One Big Meaning’

Card base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Extra Thick Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper

Window Sheet 3 1/2 x 3 1/2

Ink colors : Pool Party and Night of Navy for the first card and Old Olive and Daffodil Delight for the second card below.

They are called ‘Floating Image’ because the ‘Thank You’ in these cards have been attached to some window sheet (acetate)  Thanks to Connie Stewart for the inspiration.

Both cards use the Delightful Daisy DSP.

The scalloped square is cut into the DSP first using the Layering Squares Framelit Dies, with the Big Shot then the DSP is adhered to the card front placed back on the Big Shot platform with one of the plain squares that is just a little smaller than the scalloped one.

The piece cut out of the DSP is flipped over and adhered to the inside of the card, lined up so that it will appear thru the hole in the front.  I then cut some smaller squares in Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party so they layered on one another.

The window sheet (acetate) was attached to the inside of the front of the card with 4 mini glue dots, Thank you was attached to the outside of the window sheet with a couple of glue dots then the daffodil delight/pool party square lined up and centered and attached to the inside of the window sheet, so that none of the glue dots show.
