Halloween is now behind us and Thanksgiving will be in a few weeks. I have always loved autumn colors, the gentle mellowness of the lovely golden based tones.
The Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper is filled with Crushed Curry, Early Expresso, Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango. Today I have two cards showcasing this paper and the coordinating Painted Harvest Stamp Set.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Extra Thick Very Vanilla Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Crumb Cake
Layer 2: 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 Early Expresso
Layer 3: 3 x 3 Painted Harvest DSP
Ink Color: Early Expresso and Crushed Curry (to sponge edges of ‘sunflower’)
This uses the Daisy Punch to create the sunflower by cutting 2 flowers from Crushed Curry card, sponging the tips with Crushed Curry ink then using a bone folder to curl the tips, a glue dots to hold the two layers and a 1″ circle of Early Expresso card to complete the middle.

This style of card makes your DSP go a loooonnggg way ~ you can get 16 3×3 pieces from one sheet of of 12 x 12.
Both cards use the linen thread as an embellishment – which also speaks autumn to me.
