Rather than just have Thanksgiving projects during November and Christmas during December I am going to mix things up a little and scatter them over the coming weeks.
Today I have a really cute Christmas themed shaker card – unusually for me I have used 3 stamp sets on this one but it gave me the effect I was looking for.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Soft Sky Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card
Ink : Soft Sky and Smoky Slate
A couple of weeks ago I shared a treat holder using the EveryDay Jar Framelits and the coordinating Jar of Love Stamp set, while I had everything out on my workbench I could not resist working this shaker card at the same time.
The jar was stamped in Smoky Slate then the middle cut out with the framelit. A 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of Window Sheet attached with glue dots then the Foam Adhesive Strips were used to create a little well for the glitter. You need to make sure there are no gaps in the foam otherwise you will lose the filling! To be honest I think I was a little over enthusiastic with the glitter on this one – probably about half of this amount would have been better!
The tree image is from Lovely as a Tree Stamp set and the front decoration used the Hearts Come Home Stamp set.
