I think I have said on other occasions how much I like autumn colors and the natural feel of burlap and wood and I am always drawn to anything in those colors!
I don’t spend a lot of time on Pinterest – I find that time just disappears when I start clicking around but a few weeks ago I was letting my fingers ‘do the walking’ and came across a wreath from a UK Stampin’ UP! demonstrator which just called my name and I could not resist casing it. As always I had to put my own little spin on it.
The twiggy wreath base has an outside diameter of 6″, I wound the 5/8 Burlap Ribbon loosely around then added a bow from the same ribbon. I used a hot glue gun to just catch the start and finish of the ribbon.
The flower is made from 4 layers of Very Vanilla Card cut with the Daisy Punch and energetically sponged with Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede ink, used glue dots to adhere the layers together then just scrunched everything up together.
The twigs and leaves used the Seasonal Layer Thinlets set of dies, some leaves where cut from Sahara Sand Card, some from Copper Foil. The full leaves were stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive using the Colorful Seasons Stamp set then cut with the Seasonal Layers Thinlets.
A little of the Very Vanilla Lace Trim and a Touches of Nature little wooden flower to top off my bow.
Everything was attached using a hot glue gun.
So thank you so very much to Scrimpingmommy for sharing your creativity.
