Colorful Seasons Calendar

I have a small, but precious team of Stampin’ UP! demonstrators and each Christmas I like to make a gift .  This year I decided to make a ‘Flip-over’ calendar for each of them using the Tolsby picture frame from IKEA.

After I finished each of the months I realized that the design could equally be used as a card front, so each can do double duty!

Card base:  5 1/2 x 4 Basic Black Card with the numbers cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using the Large Numbers Framelits and the Big Shot.

A generous scattering of Gold Faceted Gems and the scrummy 3/8 Black Shimmer ribbon around the base.

Rather than put all 12 months in one post I will spread them out of a few weeks, here is January:

Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 4 Night of Navy Card

Layer 2: 5 x 3 1/2 Whisper White

I used the Colorful Seasons Stamp set for January with Night of Navy, Soft Sky and Smoky Slate Ink.  The snowflake is cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.  Could not resist using one of the Dapper Denim Glitter Enamel Dots to finish it off.

On to February:

Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 4 Rose Red Card

Layer 2: 5 x 3 1/2 Whisper White

The Bloomin Love Stamp set is perfect for this, with Blushing Bride and Rose Red inks.

Next we have March:

It can be hard to find any theme other than St Patrick’s day for March – unless Easter falls early but for 2018 Easter falls on April 1st.

Layer 1: 5 1/2 x 4 Garden Green Card

Layer 2: 5 x 3 1/2 Whisper White

I have to confess I used a tiny heart punch from my stash to make the shamrocks and the little stamped heart is from them Bloomin Love Stamp set used for February.  The hearts from the Metallic Enamel shapes pack provided a great 3D effect.  The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by – watch out for April thru June in a few days.   I hope you like today’s project – please let me know in a comment ~ by using that little link just under the title.
