I cannot tell you how much I love the Painted Harvest Stamp set – I find my hand hovering over it when starting a card, I have forced myself to give the other, equally beautiful, stamp sets a chance to star but today I gave in and picked Painted Harvest to create another Eclipse Card, using the rich palatte of purples in Stampin’ UP!’s color family.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Elegant Eggplant Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Perfect Plum Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive
Layer 2 was stamped first, I always put the greeting down first, then I work the remainder of the design around it – that way I don’t run out of space, it happened to me once and I learned from that! I tried to keep a pretty open space in the middle of the card so that the ‘YOU’ would pop a little more.
Once complete I cut the YOU using the Large Letters Framelits. The Whisper White and Perfect Plum Layers are adhered with multipurpose liquid glue. Starting with the ‘O’ I placed the letter into the hole, then used liquid glue to place the center of the ‘O’ in the correct position. I then removed the ‘O’ and used some mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach it and the other letters in their appropriate place.
A length of Old Olive Bakers Twine is below the letters , then this assembly is attached to the base card with some more Stampin’ Dimensionals.
