Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal. Then you find the basics such as stock, herbs and spices etc are ‘pantry’ items and it turns out that the meal was made with a whole host of ‘hidden’ stuff we did not know about.
So the ‘pantry items’ for my challenge are going to be, adhesive, Stampin Trimmer, Bone folder and Paper-Piercing tool. I am going to attempt to create with 1 stamp set and some ink pads, 1 embellishment (other than paper or card) and one additional tool, probably a punch. Click here to see the first in the series.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Sweet Sugarplum Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Picture Perfect Party DSP ~ I trimmed the paper so that I could get the maximum amount of candles.
Ink Colors: Sweet Sugarplum and Powder Pink
The stamp set is also from the Picture Perfect Party suite from the 2018 Occasions catalog – called Picture Perfect Birthday, I used the Happiest of Birthdays stamp then cut out with the Everyday Label Punch and sponged the edges with Sweet Sugarplum before attaching to the card base with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the inside of the card and the envelope I used the ‘gift bow’ stamp with the Powder Pink then the ‘filler in’ stamp with Sweet Sugarplum. It was very easy to line up as the stamp set is photopolymer so you can see thru it!
