Last week I shared an anniversary card and that I have a number of anniversaries this time of year, brother, niece and long time friend. The Artistically Asian stamp set has been in the catalog for a couple of years now but I have not used it as much as it deserves. I also dipped into the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set for my greeting (if you don’t have this one consider adding it to your next order – it is a great one to have in your stash)
My card colors are Tranquil Tide and Coastal Cabana, I tripped over this combination when designing a card for my June Card Class and have used it again today.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Tranquil Tide Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Coastal Cabana Card, run thru the Big Shot with the Tufted Embossing Folder
Layer 2: 4 3/8 x 3 1/8 Tranquil Tide Card
Layer 3: 4 1/4 x 3 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad, Coastal Cabana and Tranquil Tide Stampin Markers
To get the two tone effect on the chrysanthemum flower I used the brush ends of Stampin’ Markers which allowed me to color the flower separately from the stem and leaves.
As I had my Big Shot out I cut the sentiment using the Layering Ovals Framelits before attaching to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Could not resist adding some of the Coastal Cabana Tea Room Ribbon (I think this is going to be one of my favorites for this year – I am already on my second pack!) and some of the new Gold Metallic Pearls.
