When we were children, we lived way out in the country in a tiny ‘hamlet’, it did not have a store, church or pub just a couple of dozen houses and the bus came thru twice a day to take you to and from school or the local town for work or shopping!
We would spend the summer holidays roaming the fields and used to pick dandelion seed heads and blow gently on them – the number of puffs it took to blow off all the seeds would tell you the time ~ simple times 🙂
Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set has proved to be very popular with a lot of stampers and it make sense as it has a lovely restful feel about it with the little seed-heads drifting away on the breeze.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Gorgeous Grape Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 x 3 3/4 Highland Heather Card
Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Georgeous Grape and Highland Heather
I chose to go with the two new ‘purples’ that were introduced in the 2018 – 2019 catalog in June, partly because they were new but partly because they are some coordinating Glitter Enamel Dots that I used for the center of my seed-heads. Layers 1 and 2 are adhered together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then popped up on 3-4 Stampin’ Dimensionals. I did the same for the sentiment.
Dandelion Wishes has 3 greetings the one I used here plus one that could be used for a get well card or to send and ‘anytime’ card, the third I think would be perfect for an engagement or wedding ~ how is that for one stamp set covering just about all the basis? You need to add it to your order today!
Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal! I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool (which I did not need for this one!)
