I am not new to scrap booking or memory-keeping but I do find it hard to find the time to dedicate to it, so I am delighted to be taking part in the Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop for its very first HOP!
You will have either arrived from Cheyrl Taylor’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . This month’s theme is to use anything that is currently available from Stampin’ UP! ~ and I have designed a vintage theme and chosen to create a 12 x 12 page using Crumb Cake Card and Balmy Blue Card. I want to show you that your card making supplies can be used for creating scrapbook pages and customized embellishments, quickly and easily.
My inspiration came from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper – I had run a class using the large 12 x 12 lacy sheets and had some of the pages with the card fronts and decorative strips left over, the largest of which I attached to the left side of my page then a couple of the smaller pieces to the Balmy Blue card each measuring 7 x 4 1/4.
The flowers on the stripe reminds me of daisies so I used the Daisy Punch to create an embellishment with one of my greetings.
The stamp set is called ‘Very Vintage‘ ~ it is a host stamp set available for free if you place an order of at least $150(US) The ink is Crumb Cake, used full strength for the greetings and ‘stamped off’ for giving a tone-on-tone effect on on the 12 x 12 base.
Doilies, Pearls and Lace always shout vintage to me and I added some leaves using the Leaf Punch to continue the floral theme. All the pieces had the edges sponged with Crumb Cake using a Stampin’ Sponge.
