This week has been a big one for my Great-Niece, she turned 5 on Tuesday and started ‘Big’ school on the same day. She is a cute little character and according to her mother, fearless. I am not quite sure a fairy is a good choice for her birthday card but I do have a photo of her in a little pink dress with a tulle skirt – so I figure she does have a ‘girly’ side to her.
The Fairy Celebration Stamp Set is perfect for coloring and a perfect chance for me to get out my Stampin’ Blends and get my coloring on!
Card base: 8 1/2 x 4 1/4 Thick Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 2 1/8 and 6 3/8
Layer 1: Powder Pink Card ~ cut with largest plain oval in the Layered Ovals Framelit Dies
Layer 2: Thick Whisper White Card ~ cut with the coordinating scalloped edge Oval
Ink Colors: Powder Pink plus Stampin’ Blends (see below for the colors used)
The fairy is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and left to dry for a few minutes, I used Stampin’ Blends to color the fairy, doing some blending to give it some ‘life’. Stampin Blends are alcohol markers and available in a light and dark shades allowing me to create some really pretty effects.
I added a little liquid fine tip glue to the wings and sprinkled some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter – making it look like fairy dust!

I do love your card. I don’t use Facebook unless I have to because I can’t get Closed Captioning! I’m almost deaf.
Thank you for taking the time to comment I appreciate it
