Cupcakes are the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, they are becoming more popular than the traditional birthday cake. I am sharing the card I made for our eldest grand-daughter’s birthday so I have chosen shades of pink but it would work perfectly well with blues, purples, yellows or reds…………. whatever color theme works for you.

Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Flirty Flamingo Card ~ scored @ 5 1/5
Layer 1: 4 3/4 x3 1/2 Flirty Flamingo Card
Layer 2: 4 x 2 3/4 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick and Soft Suede
I stamped ‘Celebrate Your Day’ all over layer 1 with Flirty Flamingo ink – this gives a subtle ‘tone-on-tone’ effect, then attached it to the base card with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals.
The base of the cupcake was stamped on the whisper white layer first with Soft Suede ink then the frosting added in Flirty Flamingo Ink. The sprinkles and the little heart pick then added in Lovely Lipstick ink.
The picture doesn’t really show that I added a little Fine Tip Glue onto the frosting and dusted it with some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter , before adhering to the card with some Multipurpose Liquid glue. The little flowers are part of the same stamp set…….. I could not resist using them!
