April has arrived and in a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Easter so it really is not too early to be making cards to send out to family and friends. The ‘His Grace’ Stamp set is just perfect for creating quick Easter cards with a little bit of coloring to soothe your soul.
Today’s card is another in my Sweet and Simple series where I have set myself a little challenge using a small amount of equipment and supplies – kind of like one of those cookery shows where you are given 3 or 4 ingredients and you have to turn it into a spectacular 4 course meal! I think it meets my aim of using one stamp set, a couple of ink pads, an embellishment and a tool – which is my Stampin’ Blends
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 Mint Macaron Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Mint Macaron Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Highland Heather and Mint Macaron Stampin ‘ Blends
I used the Memento Ink because it is water-based and the Stampin’ Blends are alcohol-based so there is so smearing or running of my colors giving a crisp and clean result. The Whisper White layer is attached to layer 1 with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive then attached to the card base with 4 – 5 Stampin’ Dimensionals. Those ‘swirly’ bits were just crying out for an embellishment – I think the Basic Jewel Pearls are lovely and subtle and just finish of my sweet and simple card. #simplestampin
