This card proved to be a big hit at a recent card buffet I had – I started with cutting 20 kits and must have made up an additional 20 so everyone had a chance to make at least 1!
Saying thank you is so very important, it was one of the first things my dear Mum taught me – I know because I watched her do the same for my younger brother and sister and when it came to her being a grandmother she always reinforced it with the ‘littlies’ as they came into our lives!
The Abstract Impressions Stamp set has a lovely ‘Thank You’ as well as stamps that allow you to build up beautiful floral displays using single or two step stampin’.
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Highland Heather Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 Pear Pizzazz Card
Layer 2: 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 Whisper White Card
Banner: 5 1/2 x 3/4 Whisper White Card
Ink Colors: Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz
I used the Highland Heather ink to stamp tone-on-tone onto my base card, then stamped and attached the banner with some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I found it easier to then stamp the flower stems then the flowers onto the white card before using the liquid adhesive to attach it to the Pear Pizzazz layer then 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals to attach it to the card base.
The banner at the base of the card makes it very easy to put just about any greeting you needed, there is plenty of room for a ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘Thinking of You’,’ Congratulations’………. and so on 🙂
If you look really closely you will see I have used some of the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins along with the Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add a little bling ~ lets face it……. you can’t have a card without a little sparkle can you?
