So …….. time got away from me in the last few days and I missed out on a couple of posts. I like to write them ‘live’ rather than in advance so during the last few days of the US tax season my long tax preparation days got in the way.
Today is the last day I shall be preparing taxes until next year and I have taken a little ‘timeout’ to share a celebration drink with you using one of my present favorite stamp sets – Tuscan Vineyard.
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Blackberry Bliss Card ~ scored at 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Very Vanilla Card
Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 2 1/4 Crumb Cake Card
Ink Colors: Crumb Cake
I have used this stamp set on some other cards and focused on the wine-themed elements but today’s card uses some of the other stamps in the set. I stamped the olive branch on the Very Vanilla layer then the ‘scenic valley’ stamp as my focal point cut with the Layered Ovals Framelits. All the edges of the card stock has been sponged with Crumb Cake and Stampin’ Sponges to give a softer, vintage feel.
As I built the card it became to be more and more of a guy type card, maybe one for Father’s Day, so I added a length of 5/8 Burlap Ribbon and topped it with the wine seal stamp.
