Just 3 more days before the Stampin UP! 2018 – 2019 annual catalog retires and well-loved and well-used stamp sets and other products retire. In the last few weeks I been using my blog posts to share some of the things that are retiring – along with links so that you can put in your order so you don’t miss out.
Today’s card uses the Golden Afternoon Stamp Set ~ along with the 1/2 ” Lace Trim. This set has some useful phrases, whether you use it for Thinking of You as I have done or Sympathy, Thanks as well as ‘ Hope your Day is as Wonderful as You” If you are a regular follower of my blog you will know I love greetings with a cursive script and this set has really pretty ones. 🙂
Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Smoky Slate Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Highland Heather Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Colors: Smoky Slate and Highland Heather
I stamped the little flock of birds first – that made sure there would be space for them! then the trees. Now you could stamp the greeting directly onto the card however if you are a bit nervous about getting it level then using a scrap of card and punching with the Classic Label Punch takes all the stress out of it – and lets face it – we make cards to have fun not get uptight!
To get the background to the greeting I simply punched another label out of Highland Heather card cut it in half and attached it to the back of my greeting with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive before attaching it to the card with a couple of Mini Stampin Dimensionals.
A couple of Basic Pearl Jewels and a bow using the, oh so dainty 1/2 Lace Trim, attached with a Mini Glue Dot and we are done! Lets hear it for #SimpleStampin!
