Healing Hugs Floating Frame Card

welcome back to my corner of the world.

Today I am sharing a ‘twofer‘ ~ 2 cards produced using the Floating Frame Technique.  I think this is just a super technique and all the work that goes into creating the floating frame gives us 2 cards – how great is that?

With Country Floral Embossing Folder beneath the Floating Frame

Card base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Coastal Cabana Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card ~ run thru the big shot with the Country Floral Embossing Folder

Layer 2: 5 1/4 x 4 Whisper White Card

Ink Color: Coastal Cabana and Old Olive

I stamped 5 flowers from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set onto a scrap of Whisper White Card then fussy-cut them with my Paper Snips, then laid out on layer 2 before covering with Press and Seal.  The leaves are stamped  onto layer 2 before attaching the ‘floating’ flowers with Stampin Dimensionals. This is then run thru the Big Shot with Rectangle Framelit that measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 (approx)

I tied a length of Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the frame before attaching everything to the base card with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals.  The center of the frame will fit practically any greeting.

Using the middle piece cut from the Floating Frame

Card base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Thick Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1:  Coastal Cabana Card ~ cut with the 4 x 3 1/2 (approx) Rectangle Framelit

Ink Color: Coastal Cabana

My ribbon choice is the Bermuda Bay 1/4 Mini Striped Ribbon ~ is goes so well with the Coastal Cabana.
