I so love this Christmas Roses stamp set along with the Roses Dies. Please don’t get caught up with the name of the stamp set – I have used it a lot for other occasions and today’s card makes me think of an anniversary card and since it is all gold ~ a 50th wedding anniversary! But you don’t have to wait for someone to reach that momentous milestone – it would make a fabulous card to celebrate any anniversary or birthday – so go ahead and give it a go!
Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Thick Very Vanilla Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4
Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Basic Black Card
Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Very Vanilla Card
Ink Colors: Versamark for heat embossing
I stamped the image on a piece of basic black card that was slightly larger than the stamp itself, using Versamark ink then sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder. Click here to see how I do my heat embossing. Heat Embossing Technique with Magnolia Blooms and Treat Bags After the embossing had cooled and set I used the Roses Dies to cut out the shape. You can see how accurate and wonderfully close to the stamping the dies cut!
The die cut piece is popped up on some Stampin Dimensionals to give it some more presence.
I also used a couple of other products from the Christmastime is Here suite. that sumptuous 1/4 Shimmer Gold Ribbon and the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots – one of each of the 4 sizes in the pack.
