Welcome back to my corner of the world

I think I say this at the beginning of every month…… but can you believe it is March already?  Those of you who know me or have followed my blog know that I work for the largest retail tax preparation service in the USA.  This is my 18th year and as always this time of the year is pretty hectic, so doin’ a lil’ card crafting is an excellent way to de-stress and get my head out of the numbers and into some creativity.

Today’s card is one that I made some while ago, I just love the softness of the Very Versailles Stamp Set paired up with Soft Sea Foam and Sahara Sand with a tiny touch of Silver Foil.

Card base:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Thick Whisper White Card ~ scored @ 4 1/4

Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Soft Sea Foam Card ~ run thru the big shot with the Scripty Embossing Folder

Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Sahara Sand and Soft Sea Foam

I love the little script stamp in the set along with the lovely trailing leaves together they make such a delicate pattern on the card.  I used the tiny butterfly from the Butterfly Duet Punch to cut some Silver Foil which are attached with a Mini Glue Dot.

I used one of the greetings in the stamp set, but choose another and it would make a great birthday or maybe a tranquil sympathy card.
