Welcome back to my corner of the world

Yellow and black is another of my favorite color combinations – the yellow today is called Pineapple Punch and pairing it with Basic Black makes the color even more vibrant  and eye-catching.

I used the Sweetly Swirled stamp set to create today’s card – it has some really ‘arty’ swirly stamps, some flowers and leaves and some really useful greetings, I just relied on some paper, stamps and ink #simplestamping

Card base: 11 x 4 1/4 Pineapple Punch Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic Black Card

Layer 2:  4 1/4 x 3 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Pineapple Punch and Memento Tuxedo Black

I stamped the ‘Thank you ‘ first -that way I knew I would have sufficient room for it – so many times I have stamped gaily away then had no room for a greeting – ho hum… lesson learned! 🙂

After stamping I attached the white and black layers  together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then punched a hole thru both layers with an ordinary paper punch – bit fiddly but I liked the effect of threading a piece of 1/8 Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon and tying a simple knot.  I attached this to the card base with 4 – 5 Stampin Dimensionals then added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the flower centers.
