Let’s Hear It For the Boys ~ Ink . Stamp . Share Blog Hop

Once again  I am thrilled to be taking part  in the Ink . Stamp . Share blog hop,  we are a group of Stampin’ Up!®️Demonstrators from around the globe here to bring you inspiration through creativity!

You will have either arrived from  Sandrine’s post or starting here ~ either way WELCOME . This month’s theme is ‘Lets Hear It For The Boys’

When I heard the theme of this month’s hop my mind went straight to the  Deniece Williams song from 1984  (that puts my a marker for my age!) ~ so knew I would use the Music From the Heart Stamp Set.

I recently made a birthday card for a friend’s husband who plays the guitar under the name of ‘The Winemaker’ using that set so that is the one I am sharing with you today.

Card Base:  11 x 4 1/4 Pacific Point Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1: 5  x 3 3/4 Night of Navy Card ~ run thru the big shot with the Scripty Embossing Folder

Layer 2: 3 1/4 x 1 1/2 Very Vanilla Card layered on 3 3/8 x 1 5/8 Pacific Point Card, layered on 3 1/2 x 1 3/4 Night of Navy Card, layered on 3 5/8 x 1 7/8 Silver Foil

Layer 3: 2 3/8 x 3/4 Very Vanilla Card, layered on 2 1/2 x 7/8 Pacific Point Card, layered on 2 5/8 x 1 Night of Navy Card, layered on 2 3/4 x 1 1/8 Silver Foil

Ink Color : Pacific Point

I can hear a small groan from you all seeing those 1/8th cuts – but with the new Paper Trimmer from Stampin Up they are an absolute snap to do.

I used the double note image to stamp ‘tone-on-tone’ on the base card before attaching the Night of Navy layer.  All the pieces of layers one and two are all adhere together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then attached to the card with some Stampin Dimensionals. I could not resist using a couple of blue rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones.
