Welcome back to my corner of the world

A couple of weeks ago I introduced the idea of a ‘Patch Card’, where I found a piece of card laying on my workbench or by my paper trimmer, then built up my design on that piece before attaching it to a regular size card base.

Today’s card started with the piece of HIghland Heather – not surprising as those of you that have been following me recently will know,  I have used this color quite a bit for some reason!  The Very Vanilla oval is also something I had in my little bin of ‘stuff’ which has punched shapes, bows, etc that I have left over from other projects that when I tried to use them it did not work – but I could not bear to throw it away!

Once again I have reached out for the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set, I think this really appeals to me under the circumstances we found ourselves at the moment – I am sending positive thoughts to you all as well.

Card base:  11 x 4 1/4 Very Vanilla Thick Card scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1: 4 1/8 x 2 3/4 Highland Heather Card

Layer 2: Very Vanilla Card ~ cut with Nested Ovals Die that measures about 3 1/2 x 2 1/2

Ink Colors: Highland Heather and Sahara Sand

I attached a strip of the Purple Posy 1/2 scalloped Linen Ribbon to the top and bottom of the Highland Heather patch, using Mini Glue Dots, then sponged the edges of my oval before attaching it to the ‘patch’ with a couple of Stampin Dimensionals. Then a final scattering of Noble Peacock Rhinestones – while all still on my patch 🙂
