Retirement is a wonderful milestone to reach – the end of one part of our lives and the brand new beginning of the next part so, to a cardcrafter,  the sending of a card in recognition of this momentous event is a must.

The Positive Thoughts Stamp set is turning out to be one of my favorites as you will see over the coming weeks as I share cards made with it. During Sale-a-bration there was a die-set available which I used on my card, I am kinda hoping it might just appear in the new Annual Catalog later this spring……  watch this space!

On the Whisper White panel I stamped using the Stampin Off technique by inking the stamp, then stamping once onto some scrap paper then onto the card without reinking  and then a second time onto the card without re-inking, giving different depths of the color. (click here for my video on this technique)

The main leave stem is stamped with full strength ink then cut with the Natures Thoughts dies.  All the edges of my cards have been ‘vintaged’ by using a Stampin Sponge and some Crumb Cake ink ( check out my sponging technique video)

The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Stamp set – another great one for your stash – it has a greeting for just about any occasion you might need.
