Welcome back to my corner of the world

As many of you know, during tax season, I work for the largest retail tax preparation service here in the US.  Today would normally be ‘Tax Filing Day’ but this year it has been extended to July 15th, however today is the last day of my 18th tax season.  I recognize the help and support of our people who work the front desk in the office and we have a little ‘whip-round’ to give a little gift to them as a sincere thank you for their hard work, as a paper crafter I cannot just give them the card – it has to be prettied up!

I have shared this style of gift card holder before, if you scroll down you will see a link to the video I made at the time, but today’s one is using current papers and dies.

Card base: 7 3/4 x 5 Daffodil Delight Card ~ scored @ 2 1/2 and 6″ on the 7 3/4 side

Layer 1: 4 3/4 x 2 1/4 Tropical Oasis DSP

Layer 2: 4 3/4 x 1 1/2 Tropical Oasis DSP

Insert: 4 3/4 x 2 1/4 Whisper White Card

Belly Band: 7 1/2 x 1 Daffodil Delight Card

Scraps of Pear Pizzazz and Real Red Card

Ink Colors: Real Red

The greeting and curly leafy sort of image is from the Delightful Day Stamp Set, I just love the words here – perfect for just about any gift!

I went a bit crazy on the belly band decoration, the two label shapes are from the Painted Labels Dies and the ‘thank you’ and curly flower stem is from the Well Written Framelit Dies.  I trimmed the ‘s’ off the ‘thanks’ with Paper Snips and attached the pieces onto the label with a tiny touch of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A couple of Basic Rhinestone Jewels and a tiny twist of Daffodil Delight 1/4 Ruched Ribbon.
