‘Tis the Season Gift Tags

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Gift Tags are the one things I always seem to forget to either buy or make and have a last minute dash in the last few days of gift wrapping. I know we are only a third of the way thru October but I decided I might as well start early and tuck them away for a few weeks. (Keeping fingers crossed that I will remember where I put them!)

These are two very simple designs using the pretty and versitile ‘Tis the Season Designer Series Paper along with the perfectly aptly named Tag Buffet Stamp Set.

Thank You ~ Gift Card Holder

Welcome back to my corner of the world

As many of you know, during tax season, I work for the largest retail tax preparation service here in the US.  Today would normally be ‘Tax Filing Day’ but this year it has been extended to July 15th, however today is the last day of my 18th tax season.  I recognize the help and support of our people who work the front desk in the office and we have a little ‘whip-round’ to give a little gift to them as a sincere thank you for their hard work, as a paper crafter I cannot just give them the card – it has to be prettied up!

I have shared this style of gift card holder before, if you scroll down you will see a link to the video I made at the time, but today’s one is using current papers and dies.

Wrapped in Plaid Christmas Tags ~ video tutorial

welcome back to my corner of the world

I always forget to buy gift tags,  I have the paper, the adhesive tape and the gift, but no tags!  But I do have the supplies to make them and today I am sharing a video on gift tags you should be able to produce  quickly and easily and look so good on your Christmas parcels.

I chose to use the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper – this is a perfect way to use up some of the scraps I have left over from other projects.  I also found I had not yet used any of the Star Designer Elements from the 2019 Holiday Catalog so these make an appearance as well.

Candy Gift Card Holder ~ video tutorial

Today is the Winter Soltice, the shortest day of the year –  as I write this I am listening to BBC Radio 2 (you can take the girl out of the UK but not the UK out of the girl!) playing The Christmas Song by Stevie Wonder and feeling really festive and to be honest, a little nostalgic as well.

I am sharing a gift card holder today with a little surprise, this was designed for me by my friend, Elly, when she was visiting in October – we had such a wonderful 3 weeks together.

Gift Cards and Framelits Dies …~… Stampin’ Up!

We were invited to a couple of weddings over the last few months.  It is always so difficult to choose a gift – even with a registry list it can be tough – sometimes the happy couple can be left with the high value gifts on their list, so we decided to give gift cards – these can be added together with others and put toward those high ticket items.

Giving a gift card on its own or in one of those cards from the store is never enough for me – so to make a pretty holder to present the card in is a must ~ I have 2 to share today. Continue reading
