Welcome back to my corner of the world

This is the time of year we say a fond farewell to some of the products from the SU catalog.  Today’s card features the Beautifully Braided Stamp Set and the Glitter Enamel Dots that are available until June 2nd (while stocks last)

The colors were chosen for me – I have been looking for inspiration and one of the Facebook pages I follow put up a color challenge, such bright springtime colors ~ so alI  I had to do was to think of a design. I liked this card so much that I sent this to one of my niece’s in the UK for her birthday.

Card base:  8 1/4 x 4 1/4 Coastal Cabana Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Flirty Flamingo Card

Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Pear Pizzazz and Coastal Cabana

I stamped the side borders first, using my Stamparatus I was able to get nice straight lines, evenly positioned from the card edge.  I then carefully positioned the leaf stem so it fitted between the lines but left enough room for my greeting.

The flowers are cut with the new Small Bloom Punch, I softened each of the petals with a bone folder to give them a bit more ‘life’, then attached with a couple of Mini Glue Dots before attaching the Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots.
