Welcome back to my corner of the world

Mint Macaron has been one of my go to colors since it was released as an In-color a few years back, when it was due to retire as an incolor I hoarded some card as well as the ink pad and refill, using it sparingly for special occasions!  So when it was re-introduced as a part of the Subtles family of colors I was beside myself with joy!

So today’s card just uses Mint Macaron with a little Smoky Slate and Whisper White.  I also broke out my Sponge Brayer – it is some time since that saw the light of day!

Card base:  11 x 4 1/4 Smoky Slate Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2

Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Mint Macaron Card

Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Card

Ink Colors: Mint Macaron

I started by using the Sponge Brayer to apply Mint Macaron Ink to the piece of Whisper White card – adding more color to the lower part of the card leaving it quite pale about 2/3 up the card but no ink at the very top.  Once I had added enough ink I ran the piece thru the enbossing machine with the Parisian Flouring Embossing Folder.

The flower and greeting is from the Floral Essence stamp set.  I stamped the flower stamp twice, using the Perennial Flower Punch, the two pieces then attached together with a Mini Glue Dot before attaching to the card with a Stampin Dimensional.  I used a Mini Glue Dot to attach the Best Dressed Tassel to the back of the bow and another to attach it to the card.
