Welcome to my Corner of the World
This card was inspired by my Stampin’ UP! mum, Jackie Ross. It uses the Love of Leaves Stamp Set and coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies. It is a great way to use your Designer Series Paper – I just love it and have a tendency to hoard it if I am not careful! You can get 4 pieces from a piece of 6 x 6 paper or 16 from a 12 x 12 piece – so imagine having one design and being able to create a bunch of cards for your stash!
- Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Thick Basic White Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
- Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 5 Bumblebee Card
- Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Basic White Card
- Layer 3: 3 x 3 Bumblebee DSP
- Ink Color: Cajun Craze
I started by cutting out the leaf using the Stitched Leaves Dies and my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine – I love the way the cut is outlines with the little ‘stitch marks’, leaving enough room to stamp my greeting from the Love of Leaves Stamp Set. Then I attached the 3 x 3 piece of DSP to the back with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue before attaching to the Bumblebee layer with the liquid glue again.
This was attached to the Basic White cardbase with Stampin Dimensionals. Although the camera doesn’t quite catch it the additional leaf is cut from the ‘soon to retire’ Champagne Foil Sheet and a small bow made from the 1/4 Bumblebee ribbon attached with a mini glue dot. As a little surprise I tucked the leaf cut from the front inside the card before mailing it 🙂
