While we have had a very wet May here in North Texas, when the sun comes out it get hot very quickly. Today we have one of those sunny days, perfect for an ice cream cone which featured on my card today.

We have a few more weeks for the January – June 2021 mini catalog where you can find the Ice Cream Corner Suite. By using the appropriate ink colors I have a mint, strawberry and vanilla ice cream stack!

• Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Thick Basic White Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Flirty Flamingo Card
• Layer 2: 5 x 3 3/4 Ice Cream Corner DSP
• Layer 3: 4 1/4 x 2 1/4 Flirty Flamingo
• Layer 4: 4 x 2 Basic White Card
• Ink Color: Soft Suede, Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight

To create the color variation for the cone, I used Soft Suede ink stamped off on some scrap paper then stamping on my Basic White Card without reinking. The the ‘criss cross’ effect is added on top with full strength Soft Suede ink. The Ice Cream Builder Punch cuts both the cone and the ice cream scoop. The greeting is from the same Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set, I stamped it on a piece of Vellum card with Soft Suede ink then trimmed to fit.
