Tomorrow the USA celebrates its 245th birthday, so today’s card it to wish all US citizens a Happy and Peaceful 4th.

My card is chock full of stars using the Stitched Stars Dies. I must admit that I had only really thought of this die set for Christmas but it is just perfect for my theme.

• Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Thick Basic White Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2
• Layer 1: 5 1/4 x 4 Night of Navy Card ~ run thru the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder
• Scraps of Basic White, and Real Red Card
• Ink Color: VersaMark

The greeting is from the Create with Friends Stamp set. I first heat embossed with silver embossing powder and my heat tool, when this was cool I then embossed it to give even more texture. Check out my Heat Embossing Technique.

The die set has that beautiful ‘swish of stars’, such a beautiful and elegant focus for my card. All the pieces are attached to the card with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive with a few of the smaller stars popped up on some Mini Stampin Dimensionals.

Everything is finished off with some sparkle from Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
