Introducing Stampin Blends ~ Easy Techniques # 3

Welcome to my Corner of the World

Last month I posted my first two videos introducing Stampin’ Blends, as I explained at that time, Stampin Blends are alcohol markers and have been available for a few years now. Although I have some of them I have not really explored them very much. When one of my lovely customers asked me a question on them I was unable to give her a good answer and made the decision I was going to teach myself how to use them!

Rather than practice in private – I decided I was going to practice on video, starting with the basics and developing my skills in front of you, my sweet readers! So the third in the series introduces the Alcohol Blending Technique – enjoy!

  • Base Card: 11 x 4 1/4 Old Olive Card ~ scored @ 5 1/2 & 6 3/4
  • Layer 1: 4 x 4 Rich Razzleberry Card
  • Layer 2: 3 ¾ x 3 ¾ Very Vanilla Card
  • Layer 3: 4 x 1 Rich Razzleberry Card
  • Layer 4: 3 ¾ x ¾ Very Vanilla Card
  • Layer 5 : 4 1/8 x 3 ½ Vellum Card
  • Ink Color: Rich Razzleberry, Dark Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake and Mango Melody Stampin Blends

The greeting is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, cut with the Double Oval Punch. My final flourish is a Copper Foil butterfly cut using the Brilliant Wings Dies.

As I say in my video – choose 2 or 3 colors, I found I preferred the results when using 3, a dark, medium and light color, then choose your card colors to compliment your decorated Vellum. I have added a few more examples below 🙂

Kick back and see how all the bits come together 🙂
